Crumb-Coat- January 2011 wrap-up

As with icing all cakes you must first have a crumb-coat, and January was just that!  The start of a beautiful new year filled with amazing adventures and promises anew!  The Fairytales kitchen has been whipping up some pretty amazing treats including two new cake flavors: MINT and ALMOND and a new Raspberry Buttercream!  MMMMM.....We've seen over 10 bride to be's and their grooms who came to us looking for that one of a kind masterpiece to put the "wow" factor in their big receptions!  We also had the honor of creating some pretty awesome & fun cakes for celebrations ranging from the upcoming arrival of a precious baby girl to one of our favorite client, Jen's birthday! We smoothed out the crumb-coat with the Taste of the Southside event on Sunday January 30th where we gave "Taste"-goers the opportunity to sample our Banana Split and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cupcakes as well as bringing back a Fairytales favorite, our Pink Champagne & Strawberries cake combination!  The response to the flavor choices was amazing and the event was a huge success with over 1200 pieces of cake/cupcakes served from just our booth alone!!!!!  It was a great afternoon and our amazing Fairytale friend's showed up to help!  A huge thank you goes to Traci, Julie, & Trent!
